Miles was born and raised in Southern California.  He grew up fishing on the local beaches and piers in Laguna Beach. With not a lot of fresh water close by, he would have to fish local golf courses, ponds, and local lakes.  He started a valet parking company in 2009 which allowed him even more time to fish.  When not fishing, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children: Liam and Maliah.

Over the years, Miles has competed in local and regional tournaments all over the western United States.  He started his tournament career fishing with various partners including his closest friends and they won many team tournaments.  Miles also fished individually in pro-am events which proved to be successful and helped to build his confidence as a professional angler.  His desire to compete was outgrowing the local tournament circuits and he wanted to see if he had what it takes to fish at a national level.  In 2017 Miles qualified to fish the FLW tour on a national level and has continued his career to date with the MLF Tackle Warehouse Pro circuit.

Miles's love of fishing and the support of his wife and family helped him make the decision to  begin a career as a touring professional angler.
